dilemma of the day

And I have the silly problem that I want to buy my plane ticket today, can't decide between coming back on Sept 29 or two days later on Oct. 1...and I don't want to talk to my boss about it. Do I or don't I take the risk? Everytime I go back the flights have gone up slightly in price. :(
