It's 11:30 p.m. and I am so stuffed I doubt I will sleep.

I made an excellent chicken pot pie tonight. You know how sometimes you simply can't help but make something? I had an overwhelming craving.

This one was from a recipe from epicur!ous: winter vegetables (organic turnip), local organic carrots, leeks, mushrooms, the remaining chicken from Wednesday's chicken. Add white wine and a bit of cream (yes!) and stock and fresh thyme and shallots and my awesome buttermilk biscuits and you have....WOWEE!

I was hungry. What can I say. I ate one whole casserole. One left for tomorrow!

That was supposed to be C's. He'll never know though, will he? :)

Speaking of C., the Artist's W@y is doing strange things to him, too. We were running tonight and he told me that when he ran to loosen up his legs on Sunday he tried skipping a bit. So tonight when we were about halfway through the run we were both looping and skipping along, and then zig-zagging and hopping like a couple of nutters. In front of houses! It felt great! A pack of runners from the local running store even passed us as we looped and whooped.

Ah well. You only reclaim childhood...once.
