Mystery

I was thinking about a mystery.

Why is it that people feel compelled to give me unsolicited advice?

I put myself through three university degrees plus three-four years of a PhD, have supported myself for my entire adult life, without assistance. I have traveled the world and I have even run for my country.

And yet, three women at work have told me in recent months how I should change my hair, people have given me unsolicited advice on how I should respond to dates, etc., etc.

I find it a mystery. Why?
