Busy me.

Ahh...friends...Must cook. Bake. Whatever.

It's not that I'm a poor cook - I appreciate the importance of home cooked food, both for health and for the planet, and learned to cook young - but I just. don't. have. time. for anything but things simple.

I usually keep things healthy and hearty but simple.

I am always conscious, however, that one must do nice things for parties. So I come up with these great ideas...and then I'm leaving the office at nearly 7 p.m. after not drawing breath all day and heading to the supermarket and thinking...how on EARTH am I going to execute this party plan?

Needless to say, I have scaled it back significantly. This is good. I'm learning to be a good, self-forgivin' working lass. Not bad.

Will be back later tossed in flour, I am sure. Good thing I don't have kids, huh?? I AM thinking of getting a doggie. FIrst, however, I will need to pursuade C. that he WANTS to look after it when I travel. ;-)

Hope you've had wonderful, lucky days!! I think I'm going to crack a Guinness. No - a glass of vino rosso. :) I do love my spinsterly life in my cute little apartment with the radio on, bobbing around with a bowl full of flour! THank you.
