What an EXCELLENT day.

Well thanks again to BoXx, for I think that this collage thing was good medicine. (And pleeeeaase don't feel obligated to look and comment - I put a great deal up today.)

(I'm late to discover art therapy.) :)

Obviously words are very, very important to me, but I made the decision yesterday that I am going to seriously get down to business on the figurative drawing and painting. It's what I want to do.

Doing these collages today felt like a process of seeing colours again before my eyes instead of behind them, and of clearing out some mental cobwebs. After doing them I cleaned the house, did the laundry, cooked a nice meal and had C. over to eat it. I'm now pretty much prepared for the work week except in as much as I still plan to make a new potato and tuna and fresh green bean salad for lunch. And I'm going to go out for a wee run in the dusk along the canal.

So just a few moments ago I made what I think is my favourite collage of the day, and so I can't resist posting it. The pics aren't very good though: >

The one on the left is a weird one. It started out to be all soft and gentle and sexy and ended up with "issues" and women's voting and legislative progress juxtaposed. Perhaps I was trying to indicate that women can make a difference whilst retaining their femininity and smelling fresh? ;-)
