OH what a sh!!-tastic evening.

First, boring date. Seriously, no more dates for me.

Then, boring congratulations party for a friend who moved from one government job to another government job, with a bunch of people who are far less skilled than I am but doled out pity to me because they are *in the government loop and I am not*.

I loathe process.

Well, no I do not.

But I loathe having to smile and nod and take advice from relatively stupid people when I want to remain calm and patient in my little bubble.

I sound grumpy. I am not; or at least I will be not grumpy if I can remember not to permit myself to go out to such events again.

(Yes, I've had a couple of drinks. And yes, I really need sleep.)
